Does anyone have any info on some real documentation on versions 2 & 3? Something in addition to the Software Delivery Guide which is extremely general? ie - in version 2 for the read me you cannot copy and paste into the field - but the documentation doesn't tell you what type of file it needs to be to be included (tried both Word and Text and neither can be selected). I'm new to PackageMaker and need some detailed documentation to work with!

Take an explore through the built-in, on-line help. For example, in "Specifying the Interface," it says:

Read me content is shown to the user after the welcome content. Can also be .rtf, .rtfd, .html, or .txt. The readme will be made scrollable if necessary, so it can be as long as required.

I don't see ".doc" there, so no surprise that the Word file didn't work, but you can have Word "Save As..." RTF, and that ought to work. Or use TextEdit, whose native format is RTF. If you had trouble selecting a "Text" file, perhaps its name did not end in ".txt"?
