Some basic distribution guidelines

Hello. Please point me in the right direction if this isn't the right place to be...

I've written an app that I'm preparing to sell and I'm not having much luck finding a set of good guidelines for preparing my product.

It's a very simple app, which works fine when dropped on a machine and fired up, but I'd like to have license agreements and possibly product keys to keep things as honest as I can. I'm not sure that the keys are necessary given the target audience for my product, but I'm still interested.

Can anyone point me towards any resources? I've thought about joining ADC as a select member (partly since a single hardware purchase essentially pays for the program) but don't want to dive in until I'm sure about the benefits.

Thanks, Heath
