Hi Luke,
Attached is the metapackage exhibiting the behavior I was talking about. The
individual packages (Package1 and Package2) have VolumeCheck scripts that
look for a plain text file (of the name 1 and 2 respectively) inside
/Applications/. In Tiger based on the presence or absence of these files the
packages are shown as enabled and selected or disabled in the customize
panel. In Panther they all appear enabled irrespective of whether the files
are present or absent.
