Thanks guys. I had already created a "launcher app" to embed the .pkg
file inside, just like the Read Me app talked about. I was just
hoping for a more simple solution.
I'll test under L.

HOWEVER, there is a chance that some people might be surprised or
worried, since this "smells" like a typical internet "trojan"
attack vector. (I think there was some uproar about this in the
past.)
IIRC, Apple used this for some ReadMe file on an install CD. I
haven't read somewhere about people being surprised (and this
would be the same persons that are offended with the DRM-Free songs).
Ah yes, many Apple "Read Me" type files are actually .apps that
launch to show the correct language version of the file based on
the user's language preferences.
Also you should test with "forthcoming releases" to see exactly
what happens. (I don't think I'm allowed to discuss "the cat
whose name starts with L" on this list.)
Linux?
More of a Great Cat than a Flightless Bird, actually. (And yes,
Apple had a sequence of internal code names based on flightless
birds, but I can't recall what they were used for. I definitely
recall emu, kiwi, penguin, and rhea, but I don't think we did
cassowary or ostrich. And yes, we had auk, even though modern auks
can fly, and only the extinct Great Auk could not. Auk was just too
good to pass up.)
