Hi,

I am trying to add a locator function to the updater for my software.

Since the current software does not include a BundleID I am just using the CheckPath version to see
if there is a copy of the application already present in the target application folder.

the behaviour I need  is to abort the update if no prior installed copy is found, or perhaps show
a prompt to locate the application in case it has been moved by the user. In testing on my machine
with the existing application removed, the update proceeds although the updated app file is not
copied (but the associated readme files etc. do get installed).

Is there a way to stop the install if the locator fails?

IIRC, it is possible to define the path of a Requirement to be a token (that is the result of a locator).

So it could be possible to display a warning or prevent the installation if the application can not be found on disk.
