"Perbix, Michael" <email@hidden>:

This great product that I have been using for over a year is now available for free from

http://www.lanrev.com/solutions/installease.shtml

It lets you create snapshot or manually create a package, a DMG with the files, a Iceberg project file or and uninstall package that removes what the original installer installed.

I am a happy LANrev client that has been using this for 99 percent of my packages, in combination with Iceberg for those pieces of software that for some reason give Apple's package tools a problem.

Hi Mike,

Given the fact that LanRev's developer is (or was) the NetOctopus developer, I'm not surprised to see a FileScripter Pro like application that handles before/after snapshots and compiles into a package (although FSP sent you to InstallerVISE). Before OSX and pkg installers, NetO and FSP rocked!

Just curious, does this new application properly identify modified files? I'll always use logGen/Iceberg (I prefer to have total control even if it's more tedious than GUI apps), but happy to explore.

Thanks,
Don
