Unfortunately, Liquid does not appear to do the trick. It also does not appear to provide a way to script the CD ISO image creation (so it will work into our product build system).

Does anyone have more information about the -hfs-openfolder option? Or of another forum that might have someone who knows?

For the default application launch this tool might work. Your application will have to be bundled though because essentially you'd be tricking the system.

For setting a disk icon, try this: <http://vcn.bc.ca/~philip/#SetCustomIcon >

NB: Both of these tools have only been tested on HFS/HFS+.

Subject: hdiutil use

auto-launch from CD: I need a way to auto-launch an application from the CD volume of our secure device. Is there any hidden way to make this work?

-hfs-openfolder: This option in hdiutil does not seem to do anything.
What is the format of the directory string it is expecting? I have
tried:
	<source>/<CD name>
	<CD name>
	<CD name>/
	/<CD name>/
	/<CD name>
	Voumes/<CD name>
	/Volumes/<CD name>
	Voumes/<CD name>/
	/Volumes/<CD name>/

Nothing works...

hdiutil (custom CD icon): How do I create a hybrid CD image with a custom icon? I can get the ISO side to work, but not the HFS side.
