I guess I knew that. I thought "apparently erroneous cache," and that
triggered "Launch Services" in my mind. I'm sorry for the error.
Get info windows not showing the right things after install has
been an issue, more or less bad, since 10.0. I haven't had it
"brought to my attention" recently, so maybe 10.5 has the issue
less frequently.
Well, this was 10.4, but I take the point.
Maybe this needs to go into the FAQ.
There's an FAQ? That would be useful. A Google search on half a dozen
obvious phrases doesn't turn anything up.
