Stop wasting your time. Open bugs with Apple and cross your fingers

Thanks Aaron. Can this be hosted on Leopard? Using Xcode 2.5 on
Leopard, I am having much the same problems as with PackageMaker 3. I
can build the installer by launching the PackageMaker 2.1.1
application and using it interactively, but I can not build the
installer from the command line.
(I suspect it is a bad sign that /Xcode2.5/Tools/packagemaker is a
link to the PackageMaker 3 application...)
$ sudo /Xcode2.5/Applications/Utilities/PackageMaker.app/Contents/
MacOS/PackageMaker -build -proj InstallerFinal.pmproj -p LabChart.pkg
The package could not be created because of the following errors:
No package identifier specified.
