Right -- I'm converting the .mpkg portion over to PackageMaker. That seems to work, though I'm having some trouble getting the command- line to work correctly.

At one point I got this error:

PackageMaker -build -p ~/macBuild/DartBoard.mpkg -proj DartBoard.pmproj
2008-02-22 10:57:53.395 PackageMaker[2668] *** Uncaught exception: <NSInvalidArgumentException> *** -[NSPlaceholderMutableString initWithString:]: nil argument
Trace/BPT trap

I changed to -mi and that doesn't get the error, but it doesn't seem to be doing that right thing either.

You can make a "hybrid" package which contains stuff in the Info.plist AND a distribution file. 10.0 - 10.3 ignores the distribution file, 10.4 and later uses the distribution and ignores (most of) the fields in the Info.plist.

Not sure if Iceberg does that.

According to the documentation I read on the developer's website (http://s.sudre.free.fr/Software/documentation/Iceberg/ English.lproj/documentation/IcebergvsPM.html), it does not.
