So I had to update my old pmproj projects to pmdoc projects so I
could make some changes on Leopard.
Now I have ONE of 10 installers that insists upon doing a 'divert'
during the installation.
What the heck am I doing wrong and how do I make it stop?
I'm getting messages like this in the install log:
pkgExtractor[9653]: Diverting "myGreatApp" to "some very
old version of myGreateApp that has NEVER been installed on
Leopard, but certainly exists"
I have tried:
deleting the app from the installation location
deleting my receipts
emptying the trash
verified that 10.4 is the target OS
It is POSSIBLE that I might have built and installed the offending
project targeting 10.5. I'm wondering if something got stuck into
the new and improved 'a.receitpsdb', but how could I tell??
What's a diversion supposed to do? Replace an old version?
How are you building your packages: PackageMaker or command line tool?
