Hi,
I am using PackageMaker for the first time. I am stuck
at a point.
I have an application(for which i want to make
installer package). It has a file in it's bundle whose
owner is root. All other files in the bundle have
current user as owner (not root). In order to preserve
the root ownership of that single file, i am using
root authentication in package settings. But doing so
creates a problem. When the package is built, it
hardcodes the owner of other files and the resultant
application does not work with other uers.
For example: I am logged in as user "ABC". When i
build the package, owner of files is set as "ABC". Now
when i install this package with some other user where
i am logged in as "XYZ", the installed application
does not launch becasue it's owner is set as "ABC"
whereas i am logged in as "XYZ".
Please guide me how can i make sure that the currently
logged in user is set as the owner of files.
Thank you for your patience.
