Tried logout/login...doesn't help any.

I did see a PackageMaker[2615]	relocate: (null) 0

Maybe just maybe... The Get Info window in the Finder caches
information. About once a year, I have a tester get surprised by that.
They check Get Info, run an install, and then do Get Info again.
Restart/Logout shows the correct version, as does "more" in a Terminal
window.

If not, check the installer log to see if the installer says anything
about "relocation" and if so, see emails about a month ago about how
to patch packages not to use the relocation technology.
