I am using InstallAnywhere to install a webserver, webapp, java wrapper service, etc. I install all the files, then change ownership and permissions of the files to be owned by a dedicated user account. Somewhere along the way, not immediately, but maybe after installing, starting, stopping, restarting, etc., all of a sudden, the executable permission for "other" for all files under /System/Library/Frameworks/JavaVM.framework/Versions/1.6/Home/bin.
My shell script that starts the wrapper service points to this Java absolute path under System... Also, during the install, i make a call to java using that absolute path to install a db. Other than that, I never touch that directory, never do any chmods to it or anything. Any ideas on how this could be
happening?
Thanks.
