Hi Alexander.

I am trying to install a very simple Application in /Applications, but it always ends up being copied back onto the source. Anyone have an idea why?

Select your app in Contents, then check the "Components" view of "Package: myApp". Did you check "Allow Relocation"? You might want to uncheck this checkbox. It allows PackageMaker to scan your hard drive for other places where your app has already been placed (and run, I guess).

If I have my source app bundle in /iDev/myApp/Build/, the installer will never copy it to /Applications/ when this checkbox is set.

HTH,
   -Ulf
