How to add a new file to an existing package

  • Subject: How to add a new file to an existing package

Sorry if this is a dumb new-user question, but I've been banging my head against it all day:

I have created a PackageMaker .pmdoc with the payload description I need for my product. After adding the package, I made quite a few tweaks like setting file permissions, scripts, component options etc.

Now I have a new file I want to add to my product. How do I add this in to the existing Contents pane for the package? Sounds simple, but I can't figure out any way to do it other than remove the package and re- add it, in which case I lose all my customizations and have to reapply them all manually.

Thanks,

Ben.
