Mac OS X 10.5.8:

Let's say you have a distribution script with 2 flat packages.

The packages require root authorization to be installed.

The pkg-refs in the distribution script do not contain the 'auth' attribute.


Well, if you install this distribution script and you're an admin, it will run the installation without asking you to enter an admin password.



Looks like a bug.

Behavior is better on Mac OS X 10.6 but there's still a bug there (Problem ID 7482152).
