IFPkgFlagAllowBackRev not honored by metapackage

  • Subject: IFPkgFlagAllowBackRev not honored by metapackage

I have a package that sets IFPkgFlagAllowBackRev to false, and it therefore doesn't allow an older version to downgrade the system. However, if I distribute the package as part of a metapackage, then the installation continues as usual and the component is downgraded.

Is there any way to make the metapackage honor the IFPkgFlagAllowBackRev flag in a contained package?

Thanks,

Dan
