How to disable upgrade logic in package

Hi,

I want to disable upgrade logic in my update packge.

I found a tool named pkgutil. With parameter --forget, I can reach my goal.
But the man page of pkgutil recommend not to use this tool. It said there are better ways to permanently disable upgrade logic within a package.
But I can't find these better ways.

Can anyone kindly help me?

Thanks!

Best Regards,
jan Deng
