Hello List,

before I dig any deeper, I wanted to confirm something:

Is it possible to include any third-party (m)pkg in my own Meta Package (assuming I am licensed to do that), or do they have to conform to certain specs?

All my attempts in including the third-party pkg, all that happens is that the .pkg file is actualy put into /, but not installed.

So, is what I am trying to do impossible? Or am I overlooking something?

It's an issue with PackageMaker that happens from time to time. Wen you drag and drop a package into the source list, PackageMaker will consider that you want to install the package itself.

It's possible to reference the package though. I'm not on a Leopard or later OS at this time, so I can't point you to the exact solution.
