Oops - it's been a long, tiring week. I was wrong about the suffixes on the sizes in my first message. The installer first says that we will need only 192 K of space to install the application (that was correct in my first message). Then later, it says we will need 93 MB of memory. That is the number I had wrong the first time. The first number is very small and the second number is rather large. The second number is the approximate size our application takes up once it is installed. The first number is the surprise. Why is it so small? Is it because the application is already installed and we are just updating it? So, the first number is the additional size?
What happens if the new version is smaller than the previous version? Will it show 0 or a negative number :-) ?
So, I'd still like to know how the installer comes up with these numbers.
Thanks for putting up with me and thanks for any help you can offer,
Jim Dodd
