Hi,
I have an installer created using Packagemaker. I am using an Applescript saved as an Application Bundle as the postflight script. This script just creates "Windows style" shortcuts on the desktop for my application.
The script used to run fine on Leopard, but on running the installer on 10.6, the script just doesn't run and as a result the whole installation fails.
I do have a workaround for this though. I can use a shell script as a postflight script. And use osascript in the shell script to invoke the Applescript. But I consider this to be more of a workaround rather than a fix.
Is there something that has changed in Mac OS 10.6 that causes this to happen? Arent Applescript .apps allowed to run in Snow Leopard. Please do let me know what am missing over there.
