Hi,
I have some need to launch my custom binary from preinstall script when the pkg is being deployed. The binary is supposed to do some changes to the system and they must be atomic in entirety.
I found that if i deploy the pkg from ARD and cancel it amid deployment (i.e. the preinstall has launched binary ), the deployment is cancelled but the binary keeps running on the target machine.
Could anybody please suggest me some way to gracefully handle this? Actually i want to have an notification to binary itself when the pkg deployment is aborted.
Thanks,
Sachin
