From what I've been experiencing so far:
On Mac OS X 10.5.x:
- If you are installing a Flat package, it will only be listed in the
Installer Database
- If you re installing a Bundle package, it will not be listed in the
Installer Database and its receipt will be where you expect it to be
(/Library/Receipts or ˜/Library/Receipts).
On Mac OS X 10.6.x:
- It will only be listed in the Installer Database
