Custom progress bar?

Hi,

I have a post-flight shell script that takes some time. The Installer progress bar doesn't take it into account, so it gives the appearance that it's hanging at the end of the install, while the script is running.

Can anyone suggest some kind of method that I could use to display my own progress bar while the script is running?
