Ok, so it seems that preupgrade and postupgrade scripts are not supported in flat packages. 

 

Is there a way for the pre/post install scripts to know if the package is doing an upgrade?  Environment variable perhaps?  Or is checking the receipt database the way forward?

Apologies is this is a daft question, being a newcomer to flat package land, but it seems that preupgrade and postupgrade scripts cannot be added into a package using PackageMaker... what happened to upgrade scripts in flat packages?  Are they not supported anymore?
