I want to accomplish a silent installation using command. But currently
in preflight/volumecheck, there is already some apple scripts to display
dialog. So I want to pass a variable and check it in
preflight/volumecheck to bypass these dialogs.

/usr/sbin/installer cleans the environment, so I'm afraid that's a no go. What are you trying to accomplish?
