Right, and this is a good way to install only a subset of the applications in the suite without having to repackage. If you need to add or modify items, though, you'll need a second package to contain your customizations. (or repackage the whole thing, but that's what I'm advising against...)

I'm actally a fan of (scripted, not manual) repackaging, but the Office packages are reasonably well behaved these days so there's little (if anything) to gain.


There are reasons one might need to repackage, but I often see people repackaging everything for no good reason at all.  Probably a habit left over from the days when most commercial software needed to be repackaged.
