PackageMaker 3.0.4 loses color tag on .app files

I'm using PackageMaker 3.0.4 (OSX 10.6.7), and when I install a .app file, Packagemaker seems to not carry along the file color tag. It does with simple files, but not with a .app. Is this a known bug, or am I doing something wrong?
