The source from NeXTSTEP/OpenStep days would not be 100% useful as
according to the man page for bom:

"OS X's bill of materials format is not compatible with formats from
older operating systems."

The following lsbom clone project seems to work fine with the .bom
file I tested it on (but the order in which files/folders are printed
differs a bit):
