Using Sudo comand to delete App

Hi,

We are using Sudo command in Script to trash the app before installing
the new one. However I believe Sudo command needs admin password to
proceed further. The Script which is being used has 2 criteria
1) To kill the app if it's running.
2) To trash the app from applications and then go ahead with the installation.

To trash the app we are using Sudo Rm- R and full path of the app. Is
it advisible to use Sudo command inside the script? Any other
alternatives to trash the app before installing the new one using
script?

Thanks,

Vishnu
