-43 looks like the old Mac OS Toolbox error when a file can not be
found. So it probably just means that the LaunchServices API used to
get information about the app that has been deleted can not find the
file.
Now, can it be ignored? I would tend to believe it can. To confirm
this, it could be interesting to check what pkgutil says about the
receipt for your package.

This deleted the old version and did not install the new one when I tested it.
