Behavior change in the installer utility in MacOS 10.8.

Hi,

Does anybody know about this behavior change in the installer utility in MacOS 10.8.
In 10.7 and below, if we provided -verboseR flag to the installer command like shown below, we were getting localized output.

installer -pkg MyPackage.pkg -target / -verboseR

The installer status output as shown below was localized.

installer: Package name is MyPackage
installer: Upgrading at base path /
installer: PHASE: Preparing for installation
installer: STATUS: Preparing target volume
installer:%0.010000
....

However, from 10.8 onwards, it always writes messages in English.

Please let me know if anybody has any information regarding this. I don't see any reason why they would change this behavior.
However, now that they have already changed it, any information/workaround regarding this will be appreciated.
