IrDA Problem with Ericsson phones ( again )

Hi.

I posted to this list about this problem a couple of months ago. The time has come that I must finally solve the problem!

The problem being:

I talk to an Ericsson phone over IrDA in OS 9. I open a serial endpoint in OT to talk to it, and then close the endpoint when I am done. After doing this, when I open another endpoint to talk to the phone a second time, the phone is unresponsive.

I need some sort of lead to go on to figure out how to solve this.

This problem only happens with the Ericsson phones, and only in OS 9. Other phones work fine over IrDA, aswell as the Ericssons work fine over IrDA in OS X. ( aswell, the Ericsson phones also work fine in OS 9 using normal serial!)

Now, the only way I have been able to continue to get the phone to work after this has occured, is by blocking the IrDA connection between the computer and the phone long enough for them to figure out that they cant see each other anymore, after that it works again.
Is there anyway to *force* the computer to reset its IrDA connection?

-Morgan
