Block OTcalls and Idle events

Hi,
I trying to get that my OT calls, to timeout, as I am using a OTNotifier
to receive my idle events, but I would like to send error code back, saying
don't block anymore. As I have switched on blocking.

I know that I could switch off blocking, but I wanted to have a central
place to control the time out, instead around each OT call.

So I thought of killing the endpoint would work, but that seems a little
extreme, is there a better way ???.

Thanks
Mark.
