Well, at least I finally discovered what is causing this strange IC
behavior, I'm just not sure what to do about it. :)
My software writes to the "internetconfig.plist" just fine, with one
exception.
Permission privileges of "internetconfig.plist" dynamically change from
"USER: Read/Write" to "SYSTEM: Read/Write", and I lose all access to
the file.
If I go in there and manually authenticate myself and change
permissions back to "USER", the Mail client and IE read their settings
just like they're supposed to.
If I leave it with SYSTEM only privileges, it ignores the file
obviously. This only manifests itself when I call on the IC API from my
application from a NON-ROOT account.
Is there a workaround for this sort of behavior, or is it something
even simpler than that? :)
Sincerely,
Paul.
