Hi everyone.
I am having a problem with my serial endpoints. What I am trying to do, is
open an endpoint over IrDA to a cell phone, send it some AT commands to set
it up, then close the endpoint, and start a PPP endpoint to connect to the
net through the phone. My problem is, after talking to the phone, and
closing the endpoint, PPP wont start up, and remote access notifies me that
the phone is not responding properly, and to check the connections etc. etc.
I have also found, that if I talk to the phone, close the endpoint, and then
open the endpoint back up, the phone usually does not respond to the first
commands I send it. I have to send it some commands to hang up, and then it
works again. However, this doesn9t seem to work in the reverse order,
meaning, If I open the endpoint, send my commands, and then send a hangup
command, and close the port, when I open it again it wont work, and I have
to make it hang up again before it will work.
Is there an obvious reason for this behaviour that I am not aware of?
-Morgan
