BSD port-name versus port-name to give to netstat

  • Subject: BSD port-name versus port-name to give to netstat

Hi all,

My app needs to call netstat for a specified interface, thus with the option -I followed by the port name.

But the port name used in netstat is quite different from the BSD port name I currently have.
For instance, for the internal modem, the BSD name is "modem", but for netstat it's "ppp0"

Is it possible to retrieve the netstat port name given the BSD port name ? If so, how ?

Thanks
Jirome
