Requesting use of NULL MODEM script from a USB modem

Developers,

Is it posible for a USB ADSL Modem Driver to request that SerialStream uses
NULL MODEM script when it opens the connection?
or, it may be determined from the class and type and maybe other properties of
the driver?

Thanks,
