Programmatic Connect for DSL!

  • Subject: Programmatic Connect for DSL!

Assuming I have System Preferences > Network correctly setup for a DSL
connection how do I programmatically do the actual connect -
(username/password - provided in PPPoE). The DSL configuration has been
verified as working by connecting via Internet Connect.

I assume one approach is to get an Open Transport endpoint and do the OTIoctl
using I_OTconnect but what do I use for OTCreateConfiguration embedded in
OTOpenEndpoint? - assuming I use the right constant in OTCreateConfiguration
what ever that might be - will this approach work - if not any other ways of
doing it (without directly bringing up Internet Connect and the user having to
hit the connect button).

Any suggestions and pointers appreciated - seems it should be simple (and no
doubt is - so sorry for the dumb question)!

Thanks - Arthur Lewis
