Daemon not loading

  • Subject: Daemon not loading

Hi all,

I've created a daemon, but can't get it to load at start up.

The app itself is a standard Project Builder "Tool" target, which
is basically a custom ping, using OT, Carbon and CF stuff.

I've put it inside a uniquely named folder in the
/Library/StartupItems folder (which I also created) along with a
simple StartupParameters.plist file.

However, it never seems to get loaded. That is, when I go into
the Process Viewer, my app is never there. Neither do any of
its (sparse) debug messages appear in the console.

Can anyone shed some light on this? Is there something else that
I need to do to get this going? Is there a log I can look at to
figure out why it's not loading?

Thanks,

Terence
