While Quinn has already answered that he thinks it does, I cant see how
it could. Given a file with a specific type and creator isnt LS just
going to launch the file as if you double clicked on it? ie. a .html file
created by BBEdit opened with LaunchServices is going to open BBEdit.

If there is no type and creator (ala OS X) then maybe it will default to
the IC default browser.

I guess it depends on what you're trying to do.
