What kind of reason can lead to a crash in OTFindAndRemoveLink?

I'm currently thinking about an incorrect fNext value but can there be another reason?

The crash I'm seeing is occurring after I deleted the last link of a OTLink, added it again and then tried to delete it again with OTFindAndRemoveLink.
