If you are using the OT/PPP endpoint in asynchronous mode, this is a known problem.

Indeed, that's what I'm doing :o(

The problem is that I have to build a client-application for an ISP. The client is in charge of building the PPP config, connecting and disconnecting, but also monitoring the connection (connection status, errors, transfer rates....).

Right now using OT/PPP on X, I understand this is not fully possible (see the mail from Chris Hanson too for some more info). I can regularily check the CCMiscInfo structure as Chris suggested, but it's not really elegant. Besides, not being able to get connection error myself is a major problem for me.

So, do you plan to have a solution for that ? And if so, when ? Can I at least expect a solution in 10.2 (yes, I know it's DNA....) ?
Or is there anything in Darwin that can be used out-of-the-box ?

Thanks
Jirome
