Forcing DHCP release/renewal? (OS X)

Someone asked a similar question back in February, but there never came a
definitive answer.

On Classic OS, I make a call to DHCPReleaseDatabase() in
NetworkSetupHelpers, which unloads/reloads TCP/IP.
