PPP Connected?

I read through all the emails from this list I collected since, the beginning of the year.

Just double checking on this,
so, the only way to know if you actually connected ( or disconnected ) is to repeatedly poll the state with the CC_OPT_GETMISCINFO option?
The Notifier still doesn't work?
Does any know if this is ever going to get fixed?
