We don't do anything to switch from one network location to another.
If the currently selected "location" has multiple network services
enabled then we'll do our best to configure & use them as you have
requested (assign/acquire addresses, set the default route, update the
network routing tables, ...).

One thing I have noticed is in the "Active Network Ports", when you click
on the new Button, the ports popup doesn't show Airport, so you could make
another, like you can the other e.g. Ethernet ??

We only allow one AirPort service to be enabled at any given time (it was much too confusing to allow more than one given that the service specifies things like which wireless network to use, WEP information, ...). Maybe, in some future release we will figure out how to present a more complex wireless configuration.
