I know it is probably a very basic question, but I am a beginner...
I would like to open an internet connection (using TCP/IP) from my application using Carbon on Mac OS X. This is the only thing it would do. How can I do this?

What do you mean by "open an internet connection"? Would you like to connect to force the modem to dial, create a dialup network configuration, or perhaps just open a TCP connection to a specific port on a remote machine? If you give me detais, I can point you in the right direction.
