Rendezvous Name

What's the correct way to obtain the Rendezvous host name for a computer?

I was calling sysctl with KERN_HOSTNAME, which is equivalent to the 'hostname' command. That returns the proper name on all of my computers and for most other people I've had try it. However on one particular site it returns completely bogus host names. We really want it to return a name like "Mike-Cohens-Powerbook.local".

I found that I'm able to get the "human" computer name by calling CSCopyMachineName. Is there something similar for the Rendezvous host name, or any other simple way?
