I forgot to ask. Is this Jaguar or Panther?

Jaguar would dump you at the top. Panther should drop you at ftp's root.

That's what I thought, but this isn't happening. I seem to arriving at root

One thing, just though of the username is "email@hidden" would that
have an effect ???.

Thanks
Mark.

ftpfs leaves you where the command-line does. By default, it will try
anonymous, so it will drop you where anonymous would. If you normally
use a username/password, supply your username in the url, and it will
prompt for the password (e.g. ftp://email@hidden). This will
dump you at the directory for that user as set by the ftp server. If
you expect to mount at a specified location, you can mount at a
particular directory with a full url (e.g.
ftp://ftp.apple.com/developer/MacOSX/).

thought I use the "Connect to Server", for a ftp request as I saw it

Great you
would have thought but it confused me totally.

Why - As I end up somewhere completely different were I suppose to be
(i.e.
The window opened with the ftp connection), as if I used the command
line
ftp command (via Terminal.app), I connect correctly and in the area
where I
am suppose to be,

Why are the 2 paths give different results.

Anybody know what's happening.
